Find ‘Treasure!’ at Burpee, Discovery Center through Sept. 2

Staff Report

Burpee Museum of Natural History and Discovery Center have paired up to bring the community Treasure!, a traveling exhibit here only until Sept. 2.

Treasure! provides fun, interactive activities, and teaches the whole family about different types of treasure, where it came from, and how you can have your own treasure.

Visitors to the exhibit will be able to pan for gold, search for metal with metal detectors, “sink” a pirate ship, operate an ROV and unlock a secret safe.

Every Friday at noon, Burpee and Discovery Center will post clues on their Facebook to lead you to your own treasure. Each week, there will be a different prize, with the grand prize being a $900 pair of diamond earrings from Gruno’s.

If your child has a collection of their own, it can be featured in the
“Kids’ Collections” display case. Pick up a registration form and show everyone your child’s treasure.
