Chicago band Deal’s Gone Bad will bring soul and Jamaican music to Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden, 2715 S. Main St., Rockford, for a “Woodsong” concert Sunday, July 14.
Admission to the event is $10 per person, $5 for members, and free for kids 12 and younger.
Sit back and relax with a glass of wine as you enjoy an open-air concert in Klehm’s magnificent Fountain Garden. Bring a chair, pillow or blanket and a picnic dinner. Free guest shuttle service to and from the parking lot is provided.
Doors open at 4 p.m., allowing patrons time to explore the gardens and grounds before the concert starts. Food and drinks will be available for purchase by Calvenese Deli Italia and Javamania.
Chicago’s own Deal’s Gone Bad will appeal to fans of both soul and Jamaican music, as well as anyone looking for a turn on the floor or a song in their hearts. Now in its 14th year, the band’s shows are a combination of soul rave-up and island dance party, with the force and energy of any punk band worth their salt.
