Last Sunday, I took my hovercraft for a ride on the Rock River. I launched just down river of the Fordham Dam and was planning on traveling down river to the Oregon Dam. The trip was uneventful, until I found myself approaching the Oregon Dam. However, at that point, I was too close and was unable to turn around. I ended up going over the dam. Fortunately, my hovercraft was able to go over the dam without incident. However, this was pure luck.
There was no notice on the river that I was approaching the dam. I am not sure who is responsible for posting signs warning notices on the river. Whoever they are, they are not doing their job.
