Outstanding Ministry ‘Woman of the Year’ to be honored Sept. 15

Dianna Cole

Staff Report

Mark your calendars for 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15, at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ (520 W. Ringold St., Freeport, Ill.) for the Second Annual Appreciation & Birthday Celebration of Illinois Community Service Award recipient, evangelist Dianna Cole.

Dianna and her husband, Professor Rev. Carl Cole (Sounds of Good News Productions), received the IAPD/IPRA Award several years ago from the Rockford Park District for their regional work with kids through their “Young Eagles Success” (YES) Club.

Recently, Dianna also received a “Woman of the Year” Award from the Sixth Jurisdiction of Illinois Churches of God in Christ for her outstanding work with her “It’s ALL In Me” women’s inspirational workshops, as well as her “Mother’s Touch” community outreach ministry, honoring the life and legacy of her late mother, Luvina Collins (co-founder of Holy Temple Church with her father, Pastor John Collins). They also appointed her as the president of their chapter of the Business & Professional Women’s Federation.

Dianna dedicated her life to God and her parents’ vision when she was 13 years old … and has been shining her light ever since … still assisting her Father. Through her “Wisdom And You” (WAY) Enterprises Ministries, Dianna has been recognized on local, regional and state levels for her diligence and excellence in serving humanity.

The event in her honor is a part of the church’s third “SON-Day” monthly “Power of Unity” community fellowship services and is free to the public. Letters and donations may be sent to P.O. Box 1132, Rockford, IL 61105.
