Rockford Area Music Industry’s (RAMI) Musicians Organization is hosting a Promo Kit Seminar, “How to catch the eye of a venue operator, fair or festival committee,” at Forest Hills Lanes’ Banquet Room, 7742 Forest Hills Road, Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. with a time for social networking. Seminar will start at 7 p.m. Members of the RAMI Musicians Organization can attend at no cost. Non-members’ admission fee is $10, or join the RAMI Musicians Organization at the door — $10 for one year or $15 for two years.
The seminar will be presented by Chip Messiner. Why a promo kit is needed, examples of a successful promo kits, how to record a proper CD, as well as promoting your band to a club owner are some of the topics being covered during the seminar. Musicians are encouraged to bring their promo kits to be reviewed by Messiner.
