‘Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.’ at Byron Civic Theatre Sept. 14-15

Online Staff Report

BYRON, Ill. — The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop culture phenomenon is now the basis for one of the most entertaining musicals ever to hit the Byron Civic Theatre (BCT) stage, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.

Songs we remember from our younger days will fill the theater — “A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing”; “Just a Bill”; “Conjunction Junction”; and “Unpack Your Adjectives” — in a revue-style show that helped thousands learn our grammar.

Thirty-seven middle school students will bring the songs to life. The cast includes Keely Abate, Rachael Bell, Morgan Bouton, Alivia Bradford, Madeleine Brass, Madison Bunner, Mattelyn Cancilliere, Mattie Christian, CeCe Clodfelter, Adriana Costa, Caleb Denton, Ava Ebersohl, Sedona Griffey, Maddie Harvey, Sophia Heilman, Ashley Hinshaw, Caitlyn Kaltenbrun, Madison Labay, regan Larson, Jaylen Lee, Mackenzie Lenz, Madeleine Libman, Katelyn Merrill, Lacie Mickle, Melody Morris, Joshua Mussell, Cleo Onlenroth, Jonah Pearson, Annie Pearson, Nick Peterson, McKenna Puseman, Harlei Rahn, Alana Rowland, Alexis Saviano, Lucas Shine and Sarah Tucker.
