Children’s Health and Safety Expo Sept. 28 at Aviators’ Stadium
LOVES PARK, Ill. — State reps. Joe Sosnowski, R-Rockford, and John Cabello, R-Machesney Park, along with State Sen. Dave Syverson, R-Rockford, are teaming up to host a free Children’s Safety Expo Sept. 28 to provide children and parents in the area with valuable health and safety information.
The expo will be at Aviators’ Stadium, 4503 Interstate Blvd., Loves Park, Ill., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28.
The event will showcase a fly-in by a Lifeline medical helicopter, dozens of cool safety vehicles, K-9 safety demonstrations, nutrition information, a jumpy house, Internet safety exhibits, and valuable bicycle safety information. Plus, the first 100 kids will get a free baseball.
“The All Star’s Children’s Health & Safety Expo will give parents and children a special opportunity to take a hands-on approach to learning while empowering them to make smart and healthy decisions,” said Sosnowski. “It will also provide residents of the Rock River Valley valuable access to government agencies and local businesses, all in one convenient location.”
Cabello added: “Keeping our children informed and safe is a big priority. We look forward to seeing many Rockford families learning and enjoying each other’s company at the event.”
Syverson said: “This will be a fun event for the whole family while also providing important safety information and procedures through the generous contributions and representation of many businesses and agencies.”
