Breast cancer fighters at Rockford Health System
Rockford Health System recently announced the newest physician members of its breast cancer fighting team, and encouraged all women to begin mammograms at age 40. Five new physicians join Frederick Church, M.D., Karen Smorowski, M.D., nurse navigators, mammography technologists and the rest of the team to provide a collaborative approach to breast cancer treatment. The new doctors are May Hashimi, M.D., hematology/oncology; Elisha Robinson, M.D., breast surgery; Liza Kim, M.D., plastic surgery; Ronald Washak, D.O., F.I.C.S., F.A.C.O.S., plastic Surgery; and Hosne Begum, M.D., hematology/oncology (arriving in December).
