Take the family to Rockford’s Midway Village for trick-or-treating at the charming Victorian Village at All Hallow’s Eve from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at Midway Village Museum, 6799 Guilford Road, Rockford. Additional children’s activities and crafts will also be offered throughout the day.
Village buildings will be decorated and waiting for young trick-or-treaters. Sponsoring Building Contributors will be decorating the village and providing the treats.
Katie Kelly, educator at Midway Village Museum, said: “This year, the woods will become a Victorian (Alice In) Wonderland. It is appropriate for all ages. Highlighting themes from Lewis Carroll’s books and recent Alice In Wonderland movies, visitors will encounter a number of classic Alice scenes during their stroll through the woods.”
Cost is $5 for all (adults and children), and children 3 and younger and museum members are free. Purchase tickets in advance online or at the gate the day of the event.
