Local group makes food donation to Lifescape

The Turkish American Society of Rockford (TASR) recently donated 50 pounds of beef to help in the creation of meals for Lifescape’s Meals on Wheels clients.
TASR Director Celal Evilyaoglu and Society volunteer Mehmet Kayheci with Rockford University met with Lifescape Food & Nutrition Director Scott Blank to make the donation.
“We are very grateful for the donation and the Society’s thoughtulness in helping us feed many of the surrounding area’s seniors,” said Blank.
“We appreciate (Lifescape’s) efforts and continuous support of our needy citizens here in Rockford”, said Evilyaoglu. “Lifescape is doing noble work.”
TASR is an affiliate of the Turkish American Society (TAS), a nonprofit organization founded in 1997. TASR is dedicated to addressing the social and cultural needs of the Turkish American community in and around the Rockford area.
