‘Uncanny Science’ featured at Discovery Center Nov. 29-30

Experience “Uncanny Science” at Discovery Center Museum during Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 29-30. The museum will be closed Thanksgiving Day and resume regular hours Friday, Nov. 29.
Witness weird reactions and explore crazy things that look like magic, but they’re not … they’re science!
Science and art activities will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, and are included with Discovery Center general admission. Science demonstrations will take place at 1 and 3 p.m.
Get an indoor look at the night sky in Discovery Center’s planetarium both of these days at noon and 2 p.m. Planetarium tickets are $1 each; 50 cents for members.
Discovery Center Museum is inside Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N. Main St., Rockford. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., daily. Admission is $8 adults, $8 children ages 2-17, and free to museum members and children ages 1 and younger. Call (815) 963-6769 or visit www.discoverycentermuseum.org.
