Art fair, bazaar and silent auction Dec. 7 at Midwest Stone Source

Online Staff Report

Are your friends and family on Santa’s “Nice List” this year?

If so, then you’ll not want to miss shopping for them (or picking up a little something for yourself!) at Rockford’s magical holiday art fair, bazaar and a silent auction from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at Midwest Stone Source & Kitchen Design Studio, 915 W. 23rd St., Rockford.

Benefiting Rockford’s Rescue Mission, donations of a piece of art from each participating artist (and more) will make up a silent auction of unique offerings ranging from wood-turning Santas to handmade glass bead jewelry.

There will even be additional types of art for sale on Dec. 7,” said Dee Santorini with the Rockford Art Guild. “Everything from mosaics on different objects, wooden bowls, some of the best potters in Rockford will also have their work for sale, fine art, custom scarves, uniquely-made shawls, as well as an endless array of gift items will be available that day. The art prices will range from a couple of dollars to several thousand.

Music, wine and tapas-style food will also be included in the event.

I suggest you grab your favorite shopping partner and come out to support both Rockford’s art community and those who are locally in need,” said Midwest Stone Source co-proprietor Jodi Phillips.
