Pablo Korona, local photographer and creator of the “Our City, Our Story” video series, will be one of a number of photographers and bloggers featured in a “pop-up art show” from 7 to 10 p.m., tonight, Friday, Dec. 6, in the former Parthenios diner space at 132 N. Church St., corner of Church and Mulberry, downtown Rockford.

Titled “The daylight hours within Our City on Dec. 6,” the show will feature photos taken today, Dec. 6, throughout the city.

Following are details from the event’s Facebook page:

These are a few of the featured photographers & bloggers:

The many individuals around the city give it flavor. We have much to learn about ourselves by just listening. Some people just need to know someone cares enough to listen. We are curious.

We photographers & bloggers (Ryan Davis, Dan Creviston, SR Brandon and Pablo Korona) will search through Rockford to tell the story of authentic people. These stories and photographs will then be printed and displayed that night at 7 p.m.! Real stories. Real people. Inspiring or revealing.

The location of the pop-up gallery is the former Parthenios diner that closed in 2010. A group of volunteers renovated the space for this one-day-only event.

In addition to this photo series, Rockford artists Jeremy Klonicki from MainFraiM, Sarah Reed McNamara, Jamie Kasper (RHA resident) and Ryan Davis will all have work on display. What do they all have in common? They have embraced being an artist later in life, after jumping from job to job or not even realizing art was something they were good at. All have found this release as not only rewarding for themselves, but for their families as well. Support them! Be inspired by them.

Kryptonite will be providing bar and bringing something unique for the craft beer — taste this unique expression FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ROCKFORD this night will offer an opportunity to not only educate you on craft beer but allow you to create a custom unique flavor addition and profile to some already amazing Craft Beers, Stone IPA will be the base beer for which you will be able to build upon with spices, herbs, hops and more! This process will promise to blow your mind and taste buds at the same time!

For all event and art inquires please contact Pablo Korona at (815) 540-9554. For the Hardcore Craft Brewing inquiries, contact Chris Wachowiak of Kryptonite at (815) 505-3381.”
