Your Horoscope: Week of Jan. 8-14, 2014
By Denise Guzzardo
Week of Jan. 8-14, 2014
This Week: The full moon will arrive Jan. 15 in the sign of Cancer. This time frame allows us to realign connections with home and family. However, it can be a very sensitive time frame as well, and many will feel the effects of this way before its actual arrival date. We will begin to see results from actions taken during the new moon that arrived New Year’s Day at this time. Whatever your intentions were during the “clean-slate” moon, evidence will arrive to validate those actions. This also ends up being a super new moon month — it’s like a blue moon for the new moon, so to speak. The new moon Jan. 30 arrives in Aquarius, providing us a second chance to harmonize and enhance our long-term goals, dreams and ambitions.
Aries (March 21 to April 19) — Put away your party tricks and try to arrive with a calmer exterior than normal. Someone may be overly sensitive at this time and not exactly in the mood for nonsense. If you pay close attention, you may be able to help them through a difficult emotional time. With that said, they will never forget you being there for them.
Taurus (April 20 to May 20) — If you feel as though someone is trying to sabotage your relationship with others this week, they will not be in a position to accomplish their goals. The universe has surrounded you with protection that isn’t evident yet. By week’s end, you will see the source of where your back-up lies. Thank them graciously.
Gemini (May 21 to June 20) — You are about to go into your shell this week. That will work, as long as you have all of your mundane tasks accomplished before you slip away. Be aware of the energies around you. If you have the question in your head of “Should I stay or should I go?” go — and allow another to process what your true intentions are.
Cancer (June 21 to July 22) — The full moon in your sign arriving on the 15th will definitely emphasize your focus on home and family and bring in some unexpected blessings in the process. Finances take a turn for the better, and you can move through any obstacles that were thrown in your path during last month’s planetary challenges. Romance is a positive force as well. Enjoy.
Leo (July 23 to Aug. 22) — You have back-up from the most unexpected sources this week. Opportunities for additional work or a change of employment can be quite gratifying and well worth looking into. You are clearing away old, unwanted grudges and energies during this time. When the dust settles, all will be right in your world.
Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22) — It may be time to get off your behind and join the rest of the world as you know it. You have closed yourself off to the point that no one really knows how to deal with you. Come back to the living, and “pretend nothing happened.” Then, and only then, will you see your loved ones have been waiting for your arrival all this time.
Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22) — A pending social gathering may have you filled with anxiety, until you arrive. Then, you will see that you are the most sought-after individual in the mix. You will feel at ease. This event will allow you to take a good look at yourself and help you to embrace the love you attempt to send out to others every day. A mirror of your own true self will be revealed. The inner beauty is breathtaking.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21) — A romantic influence will certainly put a spring in your step this week. You have been in a stagnant situation for quite some time now. This week, everything breaks open for the better. Emotionally, physically and spiritually, you’re embracing your own inner power. As a result, others will follow suit.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21) — New opportunities arrive for you this week, personally and professionally. This will remove the anxiety of a past disappointment. When everything falls into place, it will be crystal clear that you’re in the right environment to achieve your long-term goals. You deserve to be accommodated for your hard work and efforts. The universe has a bigger plan for you now.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 to Jan. 19) — Your romantic life may have been suffering a bit as of recently. However, this may not be the best time to make any major decisions. You may have outgrown your current situation on many levels. Try not to jump to any conclusions yet. This next lunar cycle will provide you with the answers you need to move on. Meantime, your career opportunities are soaring off the charts. Bury yourself in work instead. This is a very productive time for you.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18) — An impromptu gathering will provide you with exceptional contacts for social and career opportunities. Accept invitations to socialize and expand your horizons. These connections will improve the quality of your life — and then some. Single Aquarians have the magnetic appeal to attract love options, while attached Aquarians are in a position to take a romantic element to the next level.
Pisces (Feb. 19 to March 20) — It may seem as though you’re on the outside looking in at this time, and nothing seems to align as you intend it to. Many of you may feel as though you’re in flight mode, wishing to be anywhere else in time but your current location. The only way around this is through it. Communication with those from your past will be very enlightening. You begin to see the other side of the story with more empathy and grace now.
