The public is invited to two February Katie’s Cup Conversations that will focus on mental health issues and Rockford Promise. The conversations are offered at the coffeebar, 502 Seventh St.
The first conversation, “Crisis Mental Health Issues,” will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10. Presenter is Mary Ann Abate, vice president for Community Mental Health at Rosecrance Health Network. She will discuss “How does Rockford address the needs of the mentally ill among us, and how can we strengthen our care for them?”
The second conversation, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24, will feature Elaine Breck, vice president of Rockford Promise, discussing “Can Rockford Promise help make a difference in our community by encouraging graduates of Rockford Public Schools?”
Katie’s Cup Conversations are designed to encourage stimulating discussions about important topics of interest to members of the community.
The program with lunch provided is $10, by reservation only. A $5 donation is suggested for the program only, with the opportunity to purchase lunch and beverage at the coffeebar.
