Feb. 19 ‘Go Red For Women Luncheon’ promotes heart health

Rockford women will join the fight against heart disease in women at the American Heart Association’s annual “Go Red For Women Luncheon” Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Giovanni’s Restaurant.
The Go Red For Women Luncheon is the signature fund-raising event of the campaign, which promotes awareness of women’s No. 1 killer, heart disease.
Tickets for the event are $100 each, and tables for the event can be purchased for $1,000. Tickets may be purchased by calling (925) 705-5287 or visiting RockfordGoRedforWomen.ahaevents.org.
Rockford’s Go Red For Women Luncheon will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a silent auction, including items ranging from an autographed Chicago Bulls pennant, wine-tasting package for 12, VIP Coronado Theatre tickets, and many more exciting items.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions led by Dr. Thomas Isaacson, chief medical officer, Rockford Cardiovascular Associates of OSF Saint Francis.
Dr. David S. Footerman, M.D., of One Body 4 Life, will also be presenting a breakout session.
The event will feature a program and lunch, as well as a presentation from this year’s passion survivor speaker, Bob Guirl of UTC Aerospace Systems.
Attendees will also have to opportunity to hear from the women of the BetterU Challenge, sponsored by Rockford Health Systems, as seen on WIFR. The event will conclude at 1 p.m.
