The Rock River Times, Monday, Feb. 10, launched its new, daily electronic edition of the paper, rockrivertimes.com.
The new site integrates the paper’s print content with real-time coverage of local, regional, national and global news. That means online versions of each print story will be available online alongside an increased number of daily postings. This allows The Rock River Times the opportunity to provide daily news updates and features while using the print format to lead the market in in-depth coverage of happenings readers have followed since the paper’s beginnings in the 1980s.

From any device, articles can now be easily shared on social media sites without additional steps required in the past. Wednesday, Jan. 29, The Rock River Times’ print edition hit its more than 2,500 newsstands as a half-fold tabloid newspaper — similar to the Chicago Sun-Times and New York Post — after 26 years as a quarter-fold tabloid paper.
Along with the website, the new print format allows The Rock River Times’ staff a more streamlined process, both commercially and editorially, remaining on the cutting edge of the industry’s best practices.
