Unregistered Illinois voters get grace period

Those who missed the Tuesday, Feb. 18 voter registration deadline will still have a chance to cast a ballot in the March primary.

A grace period for unregistered Illinois voters will last through Saturday, March 15.

Those registering during the grace period must cast a ballot immediately.

The primary election is Tuesday, March 18.
