Kantorei offers ‘Real Men Sing’ workshop March 15 at Mendelssohn Hall

Kantorei, The Singing Boys of Rockford, reaches out to the Rockford community when they hold their “Real Men Sing” workshop at Mendelssohn Hall, 406 N. Main St. The workshop will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 15.

Any student from the Rock River Valley who enjoys singing is invited to participate in the Saturday morning workshop. Those attending will learn how to sing, read music and perform. The workshop is for boys ages 8-18. There is no cost for attending.

Kantorei, The Singing Boys of Rockford, one of the region’s premier choral groups, will host the two-hour workshop. Participating boys will sing alongside current Kantorei choir members, studying the fundamentals of expressive choral singing, music literacy and concert etiquette. Leading the session will be members of Kantorei’s artistic staff and a special guest director.
