Rockford Art Museum to screen ‘The Unstoppable Imagination of Al Carbee: Magical Universe’ March 23

Rockford Art Museum (RAM), 711 N. Main St., Rockford, will host a special screening of The Unstoppable Imagination of Al Carbee: Magical Universe, a film by Jeremy Workman, at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 23.

Doors to the event open at 2:30 p.m., and admission is $3 for RAM members and $5 for non-members.

Step into the unique and visionary world of outsider artist Al Carbee, an 88-year-old eccentric who spends all his days alone in a giant house in Maine creating outlandish works of art featuring Barbie Dolls.

Using nearly 15 cameras, filmmaker Jeremy Workman has spent more than a decade filming Carbee to provide audiences with a look into the magical universe of Carbee’s bizarre creative force. View the trailer at
