Rockford Mayor Larry Morrissey to deliver State of the City Address Wednesday, April 9

ROCKFORD, Ill.— Wednesday, April 9, the Honorable Lawrence J. Morrissey (I) will present his Ninth Annual State of the City Address. The Mayor’s speech, ‘”A Better Rockford Today”, will focus on the positive direction the city has been moving in over the past year despite our community’s challenges.

The State of the City Address will start at 6 p.m. at the Coronado Performing Arts Center, 314 North Main St. The lobby area will open at 5 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for a guided tour of the historic Coronado Theatre. Tours will be conducted from 5 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. Light snacks and beverages will be available to purchase from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

The State of the City is free and open to the public. Free parking is available at the Wyman St. lower level deck (enter the Pioneer Deck off of Wyman for access to free parking), Lot C at Jefferson & Wyman, Lot WW south of Memorial Hall, Lot W north of State Street. Cars parking in the upper levels of the Pioneer Deck (entering off of Main Street) will be charged.
