Rockford man arrested following joint burglary investigation on 19th Street

Monday, April 7, Rockford police detectives, Rockford NRU officers, Winnebago County sheriff’s detectives and Loves Park Police detectives were working on a joint burglary investigation.

During that investigation, several officers and detectives approached two men outside of 1125 19th St. While conducting their investigation, a third man ran from 1125 19th St. and fled from officers on foot.

A foot pursuit was initiated, and the suspect was caught several blocks away. During the investigation, officers recovered several firearms and numerous pieces of stolen property.

The suspect who fled was identified as 28-year-old Rockford resident William A. Hall. Hall was charged with unlawful use of weapon by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.

The joint investigation will continue, and additional arrests are possible.
