LENA, Ill. — The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation will be meeting at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 17, at The Rafter’s Restaurant, 9426 W. Wagner Road, Lena, Ill. The meeting will be in the Café Dining Room with President Joe Ginger presiding.
The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to improving all 58 miles of the Pecatonica River, for the experience of both wildlife and human communities in Stephenson County.
The Friends of the Pecatonica River Foundation will be discussing work at Atten’s Landing, summer events, paddling clinics and Wes Block river access.
Fishing is great on the 10,000-year-old river, and the wildlife viewing is even better. The last three Illinois record walleye were caught in the Pecatonica River. All are welcome to attend the April 17 meeting.
