Local pianist to perform Chopin classics at Emerson House April 10

Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center’s (MPAC) next Music on Main … Classically Inspired performance will feature the return of classical pianist Domenic DiCello at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 10, at the historic Emerson House, 420 N. Main St., Rockford.
The program will feature selections from Frederic Chopin, including Waltz in A Minor op. 34 no. 2, Nocturne in F Minor op. 55 no.1, and Larghetto From Concerto no. 2 (solo piano arrangement by DiCello).
DiCello is a local pianist who can often be seen performing at Franchesco’s Ristorante and country clubs around the area. He is the first-place champion of Milwaukee’s Summerfest music competition out of thousands of entries and also is a scholarship and first-place competition winner at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. This is his first performance at Music on Main.
“Music on Main … Classically Inspired” is the MPAC’s series of brief and intimate after-work concerts that are classically inspired and held at the historic Emerson House in the heart of Rockford’s cultural corridor. Experience beautiful music, mingle with the artists, enjoy complimentary wine and light refreshments, and relax with your friends.
