Three physicians from Rockford Health System (RHS) will present the keynote address at this year’s RHS Healthy Woman 2014 event Monday, May 5, at Giovanni’s Restaurant & Convention Center, 610 N. Bell School Road, Rockford.
Laura Koch, women’s health N.P., will discuss perimenopause and menopause, managing symptoms and maintaining good health, and causes and treatment of low libido.
Elisha Robinson, M.D., will talk about cancer risk factors and prevention strategies, including eating well, exercising regularly and getting regular mammograms.
Melissa Stenstrom, M.D., will address skin health, including recognizing the signs of skin cancer, minimizing your risks and managing sun damage.
The event begins with a health expo from 4:30 to 6 p.m., featuring free health screenings. The expo is followed by a dinner and presentations at 6 p.m. The price for the event is $20 per person.
