Every vintage and antique dealer has a unique and interesting story to tell, and a local production company wants to bring that story into your living room. American Dealers, a web video series created by Nathan Rock of DeKalb, Ill., captures the stories of antique and vintage dealers from across the country. The first episode was aired Wednesday, March 12, at Episodes will air every Sunday and Wednesday throughout spring and summer of 2014.

American Dealers tells unique tales of American history through antiques and the people who live for them.

As the owner of Industrial Artifacts, I’ve worked within the antique industry for the last five years,” said Rock. “It occurred to me that reality shows are focusing on pitting dealers against each other in contests or picking competitions. We believe the dealers are interesting in their own right. We set out to tell the story of the dealer that goes to work every morning with the intent of selling something they love. These people see remarkable things every day, and we believe it’s time someone brought their stories to the public.”

Toad Hall has been a Rockford landmark for almost 40 years. They are the go-to destination for anyone who loves to hunt for great records, books, comics and more.
