April 25 Charisma Fashion Show benefits local students in health care

The latest fashions and boutiques from around the Rockford and Chicagoland area are coming to Giovanni’s in Rockford from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, April 25, for the 42nd annual Charisma Fashion Show.

This charity event will directly support health care students in the Rockford community through scholarships and funding of community service projects.

This annual event will feature boutique shopping, a women’s fashion with luncheon at noon, followed by a teen fashion show with dinner at 6:30 p.m. New for 2014 are “Trend Classes” from fashion, cosmetic and designer experts from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.

Special gifts will be given to the first 50 guests to arrive the morning of the event.

Boutique shopping is free and open to the public. Purchase a fashion show and luncheon/dinner ticket by e-mailing carriemonk1@comcast.net or calling (815) 332-8215. Ticket prices range from $20 to $50 for the fashion shows.

Support local students in health care while shopping, learning about the latest trends, enjoying a delicious meal and drinks with friends and family.

The Charisma Fashion Show is sponsored by the Winnebago County Medical Society Alliance (www.wcmsa.org). All proceeds from Charisma benefit the Rockford Health Careers Foundation and the Alliance for Community Health.
