When two musicians, Joe and Jerry, witness a murder, they realize they need to get out of Chicago. Their only option? Joining an all-girl band that’s leaving for Florida in the morning.
Joe and Jerry, now known as Josephine and Daphne, think that as soon as they hit Florida soil, they’re clear to flee the band and live their lives. However, that changes when they meet Sugar Kane, a beautiful woman who makes them reconsider how soon they have to leave.
When Joe pretends to be a millionaire to woo her and Jerry is being courted by a real — old — millionaire named Osgood, things get complicated. Especially considering that Spatz, the murderer, is right on their tail.
Stage direction for the show is by James L. Crow with technical direction by Joselyn Ludtke and choreography by Tam Woodrow.
