What’s the recipe for a great time? Add in a healthy portion of great food, match that with great company, and then dollop in a chance at some really cool auction items, and then let it cook and, BAM!, a great time!
That’s what you can expect from “Rockford’s Best Dish,” a chance for many local chefs and restaurateurs to come together and show off their appetizer, entrée and dessert specialties.
Great food like Schmitty Wings from Backyard Grill and Bar, Shrimp Scampi from Amici Italian Grill, Rock Shrimp Ceviche from Lucha Cantina and Chicken Crepe from Greenfire are just a few of the mouth-watering recipes that will be available for you to sample.
“Rockford’s Best Dish” is from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, May 1, at Tebala Shrine Temple, 7910 Newburg Road in Rockford. Music will be provided by Dianna and Carl Cole. Tickets are $25 and are available at Alpine Bank in the Highcrest Center on North Alpine Road, Lifescape Community Services, 705 Kilburn Ave., by phone at (815) 963-1609 and online at lifescapeservices.org.
The event will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of the creation of the pro-grams Lifescape provides for the senior community. The money raised by the event will also feed Lifescape’s endowment to guarantee that its programs will continue to serve future generations.
