Freeport doctor pulls crack rock out of toddler’s nose

A doctors in Freeport acted quickly to save a 2-year-old boy Monday, April 29, when he pulled a crack rock from the child’s nose, police said.

According to a police report, the child’s parent’s—who have not been named—brought the child to the doctor Monday afternoon because he was unusually quiet. While examining the child, the doctor noticed a strange substance in his nose. The substance later tested positive for crack cocaine.

While the parents have been questioned, no charges have been filed in the case as of this report. The names of the child’s parents and the doctor have not been released by police. The investigation is continuing.
