Rockford’s Court Street United Methodist Church can help you get your garden ready to bloom with its Ninth Annual Garden Bazaar Friday and Saturday, May 2-3.
The garden bazaar will have just about every kind of plant or flower you could hope to see for sale. Perennials, flats of annuals, vegetables and herbs, hanging baskets, and house plants will all be available for purchase. Baked goods will also be for sale for hungry shoppers.
“This is one of our largest fund-raisers of the year and one we always look forward to,” said Sue Cram, one of those helping to organize the event. “We’ll have close to 100 volunteers helping out, and we hope to see almost 300 people turn out for a great way to kick off spring.”
Money raised from the Garden Bazaar will go toward updating the church’s kitchen.
The facility is heavily used for numerous charity events.
Rain or shine, inside or outside, the Garden Bazaar opens Friday, May 2, at 9 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m. and is free to the public. The fun continues Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Ninth Annual Garden Bazaar will take place at the Court Street United Methodist Church in downtown Rockford at 215 N. Court St.
