BELOIT, Wis. — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 212 W. Grand Ave., Beloit Wis., will host the Heritage Quilt Show Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4.
The show will feature 10 antique quilts from the Beloit Historical Society and 125 quilts and quilted items loaned by members and friends of the parish.
Show hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, and from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday.
Admission is $5, with children younger than 10 admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
A salad luncheon will be available at a cost of $5.
Four items — a quilt, a sewing basket, a shawl and a hand-knit afghan — will be raffled off as well. Raffle tickets are $1 each.
A “bed turning” features 12 of the quilts with the most interesting “histories” that will be revealed one at a time as the quilts are unfolded.
Door prizes will include 10 pairs of tickets to Quilt Expo in Madison, Wis.
Money from the show and raffle will support the Heritage Building Fund, which enables the parish’s ongoing renovation of the historic building.
