Pec Playhouse holds auditions for ‘Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels’

• Auditions are set for May 5-6 at theater in Pecatonica, Ill.

PECATONICA, Ill. — Pec Playhouse Theatre in Pecatonica, Ill., will hold open auditions for its next show, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, from 7 to 10 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, May 5-6.

The auditions will be at the theater, 314 N. Main St., Pecatonica.

Roles are sought for three men, ages late 20s to late 50s; and three women, ages late 20s to early 50s. Ensemble actors are also sought to play a variety of roles. Strong singing and dancing a must.

Characters include the following:

• Lawrence Jameson — 50s, elegant, impeccably dressed;

• Inspector Andre Thibault — 40s, simple, but neatly tailored suit;

• Freddy Benson — 30s, American, attractive even in a cheap suit jacket and T-shirt;

• Muriel Eubanks — 50s, wealthy, corruptible, American;

• Jolene Oakes — 40s, Oklahoma oil heiress; and

• Christine Colgate — 20s, American, the soap queen.
