The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Illinois Chapter announces the 11th annual “Unforgettable Art: An Affair for Alzheimer’s.” Unforgettable Art will be held Saturday, May 3, at Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall, 7070 CherryVale North Blvd. Doors open at 6 p.m.
This ever-growing event will feature 50 talented artists who will transform blank canvases to works of art while patrons, sipping cocktails and enjoying hors d’oeuvres, look on. Pieces will then be auctioned off at the end of the event.
Today more than 5 million people are living with Alzheimer’s disease in the United States with someone developing the disease every 67 seconds. In Illinois, there are 210,000 who have Alzheimer’s and more than a half-million caregivers. Unless something is done, by 2025 Illinois is poised to realize a 24% increase in the number of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Proceeds from Unforgettable Art will help support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and fund vital community resources.
All proceeds benefit the efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter in the Rock River Valley. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door. Also, there are a limited number of VIP tickets available for $75.
