Spring, love and heartache are all a part of the cycle of life beautifully realized in choral arrangements and presented in concert by the voices of the chamber chorus Camerata Emanon, directed by Rulee Stallmann.
Lush musical settings by 20th and 21st-century composers including Barber, Whitacre and Gjeilo breathe new life into ancient Latin texts, lyrical writings of 16th-century Dunne and Marlowe, and luminous musings of last century greats such as Frost, Cummings, Lorca, Lennon and McCartney.
The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 10, at the Rockford Unitarian Universalist Church, 4848 Turner St., Rockford. Admission is $10 adults, $5 students.
