The June 7-8 return of Rockford AirFest is less than a month away and the airport team is working hard to ensure a world-class air show for the region.
“AirFest 2014: Let the Thunder Roll” is offering a fun and intimate opportunity to experience the event through its volunteer program. For a minimum commitment of one six-hour shift, volunteers receive one complimentary admission and meal and a special-edition volunteer T-shirt.
Volunteer information, including applications, position descriptions and requirements, are available online at rockfordairfest.com under the “Volunteers” tab. Positions for set-up, tear-down, maintenance, entrance sales, security, static display guard, volunteer committee and floaters are available. Interested volunteers must complete the online form and will be matched based on availability and committee need.
Contact volunteer coordinator Rita McGeary at firstname.lastname@example.org or (815) 969-4018 for more details.
AirFest 2014 is set to have one of the best shows in the country this year with previously confirmed performers USAF Thunderbirds and U.S. Army Golden Knights. Newly secured performers include Aerostars, AeroDynamix (RV), Goulian, Lucas Oil and Nalls Aviation.
