WNIJ’s Dooley earns NIU Journalism Alumni Award

Northern Public Radio’s Jenna Dooley received the Donald R. Grubb Distinguished Journalism Alumni Award for 2014 at the Northern Illinois University (NIU) Journalism Banquet April 25.

Dooley is a reporter and Morning Edition producer at 89.5 WNIJ, where she is responsible for news writing, audio editing, and sharing content through the station’s social media platforms.

In addition to her work at 89.5 WNIJ, Dooley teaches at the Illinois Center for Broadcasting in Lombard and serves on the executive board of the Illinois News Broadcasters Association. She was named “Newsfinder of the Year” by Illinois Associated Press in 2013.
