Rescue Mission seeks toilet paper donations
Online Staff Report
Rockford Rescue Mission is now welcoming donations to restock its inventory of toilet paper used by the many guests and residents of the Mission. On average, Rockford Rescue Mission goes through more than 1,000 rolls of toilet tissue per month, and the current supply is running desperately low.
Individuals, church congregations, companies and other organized groups are encouraged to lend support to this cause by collecting and donating dozens of rolls to the homeless, hungry and hurting people the Mission serves throughout the Rock River Valley. Last spring, more than 9,000 rolls were donated to the Mission. A goal of 10,000 rolls has been set for this year.
Donations of toilet paper may be brought to 715 W. State St. For more information, call (815) 965-5332.
Each year, Rockford Rescue Mission provides 58,767 nights of shelter, and as many as 231 men and women are empowered to restore their futures through the Life Recovery Program.
