Summer is a time of travel and adventure. Perhaps you have a favorite place that speaks to you spiritually and where you feel “at home.” Here is a poem that celebrates that experience.

Lucky Travelers

We are the lucky travelers

on the Good Ship Earth,

exploring those places

that as Frost once said,

When you go there,

they have to take you in.”

We are the lucky travelers

with a host of haunts to call our own,

a host of haunts to call our home,

here on our dear blue planet

where paradise is possible

now and then.

We return

to places that set us free us,

places with power to invoke

the best places in us,

where we float like magic galleons,

imaginations peaked like mountains,

where only higher vibrations intrude,

and each day is its own unguided meditation,

where complete Sabbath is

not only possible but required.
