Black Hawk Wine is Back – In celebration of the 5th Aniversary of the Oregon Trail Days Festival and the start of restoration of the Black Hawk Statue, the festival committee is bringing back sales of the Black Hawk Wine. Discovery Center Museum participates in Blue Star Museums. Montessori Students help build school in Kenya – Students at Maria Montessori School and Thurgood Marshall School are working with international charity partner Free the Children to build a school in Kenya. So far, they have raised nearly $13,000 to dig a well in South Sudan, plus continued service work. They plan to raise $10,000 to build a girls’ school in Kenya with a fund-raising program, “Brick by Brick.” They’re selling bricks for $20 and hope to sell 500.
