Summer Reading Club party set for June 7

Rockford Public Library will kick off its 2014 Summer Reading Club, “PAWS FOR READING,” with a party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 7, in the Waterworks Parking Lot C, on the corner of Jefferson and Wyman streets in downtown Rockford.

The club is open to all ages. At the kick-off party, kids and their families will enjoy a variety of activities, including a bouncy tent, a rock-climbing wall and a challenging obstacle course.

The first 1,000 kids to sign up for the Summer Reading Club at the kick-off party will get a free T-shirt.
