The River District Association (RDA), dedicated to promoting and growing Rockford’s downtown, is hosting its eighth annual “A Cook’s Tour of Downtown,” spring edition. The event will be from 5 to 10 p.m., Wednesday, June 18.
Seven local downtown establishments will be participating in the spring Cook’s Tour, and they include Capri Restaurant, District Bar & Grill, Kiwi Café & Bar, Kuma’s Asian Bistro, Wired Café, Bella Luna Bakery and Octane.
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased in advance at the restaurants on tour, or on the River District website at www.riverdistrict.com.
River District Board member Stephanie Caltagerone said: “It is a fun event that we’re excited to see return. Also new this year, we were able to create a spring and fall Cook’s Tour. Due to the growth in establishments, the RDA really wanted to give guests the opportunity to make it to all participating establishments and spend more time at each one. This also allowed us to lower the ticket price for our guests.”
