OREGON, Ill. — All Ogle County residents are welcome to enter into the Junior/Open Show at this year’s Ogle County Fair, which runs July 30-Aug. 3 at Ogle County Fairgrounds, 1440 N. Limekiln Road, Oregon, Ill.
Junior Show is open for anyone up to the age of 18 years old as of Jan. 1, 2014. Open Show is available for all ages.
If you enter a project in the Open Show, it will be judged against all age groups and skill levels. One exhibit per entry is allowed.
Check-in for projects in the Junior Show will be Saturday, July 26, between 1 and 3:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted in the fair book. Most projects can check in between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, and judging will begin at 7:30 p.m. There is no fee to enter the fairgrounds during these times.
Ogle County Fair will open Wednesday, July 30, and a fee to enter the grounds will begin then. Project check-out is from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 3.
Junior Show projects can include many forms of art, scrap-booking pages, flowers in a vase, photography or mechanical science.
Open Show has many opportunities to show off your hard-grown vegetables, challenge yourself with entering a miniature flower arrangement, lovely themed table arrangements that may be leftover from that amazing wedding, any item made from recycled material into an art form, or a photo showing a funny moment at the Ogle County Fair.
