Comprehensive Community Solutions board seeks to fill vacancies
The Board of Directors of Comprehensive Community Solutions, Inc., a nonprofit organization, is seeking volunteers to serve on the board of this innovative, community-based agency. Several vacancies are available for regular board members, as well as for ex-officio board members.
Board members serve either two- or three-year terms without compensation. Ex-officio members are non-voting members who act as advisers and advocates for the organization. One-third of the members of the Board of Directors shall be composed of residents of low-income neighborhoods, other low-income neighborhood organizations or elected representatives of low-income neighborhood organizations, and two members shall be graduates of the YouthBuild Program. Board meetings are held monthly, and committees meet at such times and places as necessary. In particular, the board seeks candidates with backgrounds in accounting/financial services, fund-raising, marketing, workforce development, housing development, construction or education.
