“Stuart and I are thrilled to have our record store-café coffee shop within the East Branch Library,” said Kate Sullivan, owner. “Comfort food, cool vinyl and, of course, warm, delicious PIE! The time is right, and we are ready to throw a great party.”
Kate’s Pie Shop began as a delivery service of home-baked pies in the fall of 2011. Within the next two years, they were serving pies and selling records at three regional farmers’ markets. The Pie Shop & Record Store had tried a few satellite locations while still baking within a commercial kitchen. Now with their new storefront at 6685 E. State St., they have returned to their original mission: providing comfort food, coffee and delicious pie within a full-service record store.
