BELOIT, Wisconsin — The Beloit International Film Festival (BIFF) continues the BIFF Outdoors summer series Saturday, Sept. 6, with the Dreamworks classic, Shrek. The PG-rated film will be presented on the lawn area behind New Zion Baptist Church (1905 Mound Ave., in Beloit, Wisconsin), and will begin at 7:45 p.m.
When a green ogre named Shrek discovers his swamp has been “swamped” with all sorts of fairytale creatures by the scheming Lord Farquaad, Shrek sets out, with a very loud donkey by his side, to “persuade” Farquaad to give his swamp back. This film is the first installment of one of the most successful animation franchises in motion picture history.
Rain date for this event will be Sunday, Sept. 7, same time, same location. The next BIFF Outdoors event will be Sept. 26 at Beloit College when the featured film will be Toy Story 3.
BIFF Outdoors is a program designed to provide free outdoor screenings of popular and classic films in the stateline area. The schedule of upcoming outdoor film events can be found at beloitfilmfest.org. All presentations begin after dusk.
