Joan Rivers dies at 81

Boisterous comedian and TV personality, Joan Rivers, has died, her daughter, Melissa Rivers, announced Thursday, Sept. 4.
Rivers died at 1:17 p.m., Thursday, surrounded by family. She was 81. Rivers had been hospitalized after suffering cardiac arrested at a Manhattan doctor’s office last week.
Rivers made a more-than 50-year-career poking fun at other celebrities in comedy clubs, movies and on television. She hosted several TV shows, including The Late Show with Joan Rivers, Can We Talk and Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?
