Two men face charges after a search of a Rockford home Monday turned up drugs police say were packaged for sale.
Within the past several weeks members of the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit received information that cocaine was being sold out of the residence at 431 Irving Ave. Monday, Sept. 8, detectives executed a search warrant at the address and located cocaine, cannabis, cash and other items associated with drug trafficking, police said.
Arrested at the scene were 50-year-old Edward Teamer, of Rockford, and Quenten J. Tolefree Sr., 23, also of Rockford.
Teamer was charged with intent to deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church. He is being held in the Winnebago County Jail without bond. Tolefree was charged with possession of cannbis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was been set at $1,000.
