Lamborghinis, Mercedes and Porsches, oh my! Those exotic luxury cars will all be racing around the 1.95-mile, seven-turn asphalt track at Blackhawk Farms Raceway this weekend. Thanks to Xtreme Xperience, local adrenaline junkies can sit in the driver’s seat of one of those models or perhaps they’d prefer a Ferrari, Audi or Mercedes-Benz to satisfy their need for speed.
Before the adventurous thrill-seekers get a chance to rev the engine of a 420-plus horsepower supercar, drivers are required to participate in an instructional class where they’ll learn racing fundamentals and safety. After class, you’ll get to take three laps in one of these dream cars.
A professional instructor will ride along with you in the passenger’s seat. They are there to provide real-time feedback and enhance your overall experience. All safety equipment is supplied by Xtreme Xperience.
There is also a ride-along option available for those who would rather leave the driving to a professional but still get the thrill of a pedal-to-the-metal, high-speed, heart-pumping experience. Drivers and passengers can bring their memories home by purchasing and optional in-car video.
Xtreme Experience will bring this bucket list opportunity to Blackhawk Farms beginning at 9 a.m., Friday, Sept. 12, and stay through 4 p.m., Sunday Sept. 14. Reservations can be made by at their website, www.theextremexperience.com. Appointments for the different models are available hourly.
Drivers must be at least 18 years of age and ride-along passengers must be at least 10 years old.
Spectators are welcome to catch all of the action from safe designated viewing areas at no charge. For those wishing to get a little closer to the action, a VIP pit pass is available for $15 for adults and no charge for children 10 and younger. Those tickets are also available on their website.
According to Xtreme Xperience President and Co-Founder Adam Olalde: “It would be our absolute pleasure to serve and spend a day with you at our next track event. Bring your friends and bring your family, because there’s plenty to do for everyone at our events. And we promise, no one goes home without a smile. Happy racing!”
