Shelter Care Ministries invites the public to “Lessons from the March,” a presentation by Lou Ness about her March to Washington, D.C., to highlight the plight of America’s poor.
“Lessons from the March” at 7 p.m., Sept. 11, in Haskell Park near the corners of Court Street and Park Avenue. Hear one woman’s story of her 900-mile walk to Washington, D.C., to call attention to the burdens carried by those who are living in deep poverty in this country. Tasty desserts, thoughtful discussion and a late summer evening outdoors under the tent will be on the docket for the evening’s event. Admission is free.
